Everyone is invited to climb aboard or walk beside the church’s float for the 2017 Charleston Pride Parade. We had a great turnout last year and it was a lot of fun for everyone! Please plan to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to allow yourself time to park and find the float.
Pride parades for the LGBT community are events celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender culture and pride. The events also at times serve as demonstrations for legal rights such as same-sex marriage.
Saturday, September 23rd, at 9:00 AM; Downtown Charleston
The 1.8-mile parade route begins at Wragg Mall on the corner of Ann and Meeting streets. Immediately the parade processes to King Street and heads south on King, traveling past Marion Square, the heart of downtown Charleston. Once the parade hits Broad Street, the procession takes a right and continues until we come to Colonial Lake.
Viewing of the parade is encouraged on King Street.
