LIGHTS! CAMERA! AUCTION!
Now that the holidays are over you can devote ALL your attention (well, maybe not ALL your attention) to thinking up donations for the 2010 Service Auction. There is a Donation Form in The Gateway, which is NOT modeled after any IRS form, so it is EASY to fill out. Download the form from the box below. There are 2 versions - one to print out and mail, or fax and the other is a PDF form to complete on your computer, save and email.
However, we ask for a couple of favors as you complete the form. PLEASE give us as detailed a description as possible of the item or service so we can describe it correctly in the program and entice more bidders. If you have some idea about its value that would be a big help. Also, sometimes you may have a minimum bid you will accept in order to sell it at auction; if so, please put that on the form. To get your creative juices flowing, there is a list of examples. But don’t let this hinder your imagination. You never know how an item or service may strike a bidder, so don’t hold back!
If you have questions, call Mike or Donna at 768-2620, or e-mail us at grif3015@bellsouth.net. We will have a box in Gage Hall clearly marked as the Auction Donation Form box in early January. Or you can snail mail it to Terry Walsh (address on the form), or if you’re particularly computer-enabled, e-mail it to Terry. Starting in January there will be forms in the Sunday Bulletin (so you can’t get away from us!!!)
And mark the date on your calendar: Saturday, March 6 in Gage Hall. Doors open at 6 pm with a light supper served, wine included; Silent Auction begins then and ends at 7:15. Live Auction starts at about 7:30 pm. We have new software and will have two networked computers to make check-in and check-out easy and faster.
