Carla obtained her MBA from The Citadel in 2008, after receiving an undergraduate degree in Studio Art from the College of Charleston. She has been our Congressional Administrator for 5 years and began her tenure with the Church as RE and Office Assistant in 2000. Carla was recently promoted to Executive Director as our Church grows into what is called a "Program Church". Carla leads our Church Staff, and is the critical lynchpin between the Board of Directors (Vestry), the Lay Leadership, and the Church Staff. Carla ensures that the daily operations of the Church get accompished.
Music Director, Lin Raymond

Lin has extensive church and choral music experience. He previously worked in Santa Fe, NM, where he performed in many venues including solo recitals and in performances of Santa Fe New Music. As an accompanist, he performed with the Santa Fe Opera Mosaics and the Santa Fe Desert Chorale. Born and raised a Unitarian in Memphis, TN, Lin was the pianist for the First Unitarian Church in Memphis for eight years. In Santa Fe, Lin served as pianist and organist for the St. Francis Cathedral for three years and for eight years was pianist and Music Director for the United Church of Santa Fe. In addition, Lin won first place in the National Bartok - Kabalevsky Competition (now, the International Bartok - Kabalevsky -Prokofiev Competition) in 1986.

Religious Education Director, Janet Watts

Janet has her BA from the University of S.C. and her Master's from the American University of Cairo, Egypt. She was Director of R.E. here in Charleston from 1997-2001. Janet was rehired in 2005 and serves as the church's link between the children, their families, and the larger church body.
