Education for adults at the Unitarian Church in Charleston takes the form of a variety of classes and activities. Topics include religion and philosophy, personal development, social issues, the arts and excursions. Opportunities for parent support and education are encouraged. Children’s Religious Education Class Guide Our Whole Lives (OWL) classes are offered to 7th, 8th and 9th graders every other year. The next session will be in 2016-2017. Parents are required to attend a parent orientation prior to registering their child in an OWL class. Located in Highlands, NC, nestled atop a 4200 ft. granite cliff, the Mountain has been a favorite getaway spot for our church members and friends for decades. The Mountain offers a variety of programming from individual retreats to larger conferences, capable of accommodating groups of up to 100.
