Adult Education Guide

Education for adults at the Unitarian Church in Charleston takes the form of a variety of classes and activities. Topics include religion and philosophy, personal development, social issues, the arts and excursions. Opportunities for parent support and education are encouraged.  We also support separate groups with common needs. If you are interested in joining or leading a support group, please contact the Director of Religious Education. Children’s Religious Education

  Registration Information In order to participate in our program, you must register your child(ren) with the 2017-2018 Registration Form 2017-18 for all classes, nursery through High School. Ours is a cooperative program, so all parents/guardians must pay a registration fee and volunteer in some way. If you need a financial waiver, please contact Megan Thornton (dre@charlestonuu.org 843.723.4617). There is no waiver for volunteering. The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center

Located in Highlands, NC, nestled atop a 4200 ft. granite cliff,  the Mountain has been a favorite getaway spot for our church members and friends for decades. The Mountain offers a variety of programming from individual retreats to larger conferences, capable of accommodating groups of up to 100. Comfortable lodge and cabin housing have breathtaking views of the Blue Valley and are accessible to many.
