Chancel Choir

ChoirMission: Our choir enhances Sunday services and special events with its musical performances. We are always looking for additional voices and hope you’ll join us. We also have a core of instrumentalists and vocalists who provide extra beauty and excitement at least once a month by playing and singing in the Sunday services. These musicians play trumpets, violins, viola, cello, harp, guitars, piano, drums and flute and range in age from eleven to fifty-five plus!  Instrumental music, anthems and hymn choices continue to represent a wide range of musical styles and texts, reflecting the nature of our congregation.

Logistics:  The Chancel Choir practices every Wednesday 6:45 p.m.,  September to June, and rehearses at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday in preparation for the 11:00 a.m. Service. If you are unable to commit to such a schedule, why not join us as part of the Christmas Cantata.

We also have a children’s choir – the Chalice Choir- that performs with the adult choir from time to time. This group meets Sundays in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m..  Their worship music has been met with great enthusiasm.

Helpful skills:  The ability to read music is helpful and to be able to project and sing on key.
