Dinners For Fun

The best way to make new friends or reinforce friendships is breaking bread with each other, and we have a great way to do just that. Four times a year we celebrate friendship by dining at each other’s homes. This year we’ll be meeting on the fourth Saturday of the month in October, November, January and March. For those of you who are new to our church and want to participate, you need to sign up to either host a dinner or be an attendee in Gage Hall after church in Gage Hall at the Welcome Table or email me. We recommend that “newbie’s” sign up as guests to learn the routine. In either case, you will be expected to contribute some part of the dinner. Once places have been assigned, you will be notified by your host about the who, what, when and wherefores of the dinner. Generally, your host will design the dinner and may even create the main course, and then leave the rest of the meal open for their guests to bring an appropriate accompaniment such as: appetizers, bread, vegetables, starch, desserts, and beverages. Our first meal will be October 22. If you are interested in a night of great food and sparkling conversation in the warmth and comfort of a new friend’s home, please sign up in Gage Hall or email me at abbyhimmelein@comcast.net or 843-853-0870 / 843-534-8222 (text)
