The Unitarian Church in Charleston Knitting Group meets about twice a month on Fridays either at a local coffee shop or in a home, somewhere in the James Island area.  We would love to have you come spin a yarn with us.   Every level of knitter is welcome, from beginner to expert – come along to join in for fellowship and fun and project sympathy with fellow knitters.  Bring needles and yarn, or email us ahead of time and we will make sure extras are available.  You can work on your own project, get and share advice and tips, or join in the group project.  As a group, we have knit squares and sewed them into blankets for MUSC, donated hats to the mitten tree, made doll blankets and baby shower blankets. We made scarves and sent them to our soldiers in Bosnia, and now and then we make scarves, sweaters, throws, socks, mittens, and gloves for gifts and for our own pleasure.  The group recently donated knitted blankets to the local scleraderma organization.  Check out our web info at charlestonuu.org under Groups.
