Mission: For thoughtful men to come together on a regular basis and share their life

concerns, interests, and hopes for the future. Specifically, to provide emotional support, foster bonding, social interaction, and grow as individuals from group discussion and activities.

Key Principles:

Confidentiality: Outside the group, some information may be shared anonymously

(e.g. what topics were discussed, in general), but not personalized.

Sharing:  By giving and receiving  – through the sharing of our thoughts and experiences.

Support:  Support will entail respectful listening and responding to the expression of a person’s feelings and viewpoints in a manner that establishes rapport among the participants and encourages them to share thoughts and ideas with each other.

Meeting Logistics:  Meetings will begin at 6:30 pm and last for two hours ending promptly at 8:30 p.m..  Other meeting times may occur as agreed upon by the group.  Each man has up to five minutes of uninterrupted time to share current life concerns and joys with the group.Group discussion of the evening’s topic led by a specific member of the group. Discussions will be conducted the first Tuesday of the month in Gage Hall.

Activities: Activities will be planned from time to time on an ad hoc basis and, based on the interests of members, may involve nature trips, bicycle trips, visits to local sites, etc. A men’s Group luncheon will be held at a local restaurant the third Wednesday of the month.
